THE BEAST IN YOUR LUNGS by alexanderjohn77 THE BEAST IN YOUR LUNGS by alexanderjohn77
If you have seen my first entry into the Make Ugly competition THE PRICE IS TOO HIGH ARTWORK you will know how personal to me it was. I wanted to take a step back and take just my monster even further and came up with this. Please let me know your thoughts and your comments are greatly appreciated.
All created in Photoshop on a Wacom and again all references used are my own.

EDIT: I wanted to change the contrast and colour a little to hopefully strengthen the visual impact.

THE PRICE IS TOO HIGH

I've seen photos of cancerous lungs.  This strongly reminds me of them.

It was an image I really wanted to capture and morph into a creature. Thank you

I'm gonna go on a limb and assume that this is a visceral representation on the effect that chain smoking or alcoholism will have on you. Would I be right? Thinkign of it like that makes this a more interesting work, I think.

Great work man!!

You are right in your thinking. The beast is entirely made of worms and I wanted to use these as a visual link to the earth and more so to death. Thank you.

I'd have sworn I commented on your entries to this contest... but it seems I didn't!  I KNOW I looked at them long and hard, though.  The detail here is both disgusting and riveting.  Talk about "make ugly..."  *shudder*

Yes... this one was an experience in revulsion :) I wanted to portray a beast that was chilling and an expression of disease. Thank you
